Not to be confused with Rising Acid (Classic).

Rising Acid is a disaster in Survive The Disasters 2. It also appears in Survive The Disasters 1 as a simple disaster.

"Any breakable parts or body parts that come on contact with the rising acid have a 33% chance to disintegrate. If a breakable part is affected, it'll turn radioactive and touching it deals 7 damage, even after when the disaster is over! If your body touches the acid, in a span of 5 seconds you'll be dealt 7 damage for each body part touched. The acid rises up pretty high and quick, get to a high place!"

Hyper Memo

"Compared to standard Rising Acid, the acid rises slightly faster and have a 50% chance to disintegrate breakable or body parts. The acid now does 14 damage overtime and the burn from the radioactive parts also deal 14 damage."

Rising Acid is a disaster that has lasting effects after the disaster ends (others include Missile Strike, Redcliff Warriors, Korblox Mages, Illumina, etc.), in which any block the acid touches becomes rusty and acidic, and touching a block with that texture deals 7 damage a second. If any part of your body touches the Rising acid, they have a chance to disappear. If said disappearance happens to the head or torso, the player will die instantly. It is recommended to stay on high ground, away from the acid.

Impossible Rising Acid

Acid is more corrosive, corroded parts deal 28 damage. Rises up to 16.6 studs above the baseplate at a rate of four studs per second. Also deals 42 damage if you jump in by accident.

  • If you touch the acid, your body (parts) might become rusty, even though it doesn't affect gameplay.

    Said 'rusty bodies'.

  • In older versions, the memo of rising acid was glitched. Even after the player has collected it, it wouldn't appear in your memo inventory. This has been fixed.
  • In Survive The Disasters 4 (April Fools 2018), the Disaster warning was renamed to “acid”.
  • If you jump into the acid, you'll die immediately, as there is no time left for you to heal. Your body corroding counts as damage, and if all of it corrodes, it's an insta-kill. This is the case for Hyper/Impossible variants.
