Fire Breath Disaster

Fire Breath was a disaster in Survive The Disasters 2. It was removed in Version 39 as an attempt to minimize copyright content in the game.

Description

Fire Breath was a 2D mini-game type of disaster, originating from the classic game Sonic The Hedgehog. During which, players had to survive a series of deadly attacks that were controlled by Dr. Robotnik, the main enemy.

During the round, players were teleported inside a rectangular room that appeared in the middle of the map. Inside of which, players had to dodge flaming missiles thrown by the moving machine, which strike down and explode after a few seconds.

Hyper Fire Breath

Hyper Fire Breath's machine moved slightly faster throughout the round and was recolored to a red tone. It also fired 6 missiles at once, instead of the standard 3.

Impossible Fire Breath

Impossible Fire Breath's machine fired 9 missiles at once.

Memo Information

"Dr. Robotnik's machine; Fire Breath! Fire Breath has two attacks. Flamethrower is used when the machine lands, while shooting 3 explosive missiles in the sky. The flamethrower deals 80 damage. Dodge where the missiles are going to land, the explosive radius deals 45 damage! Touching the missile also deals 35 damage, so watch out where you're jumping! Touching Fire Breath when it's landed will also kill you."

Trivia

  • In Version 39, Fire Breath was removed, along with other Sonic The Hedgehog reference disasters, such as Hammer Eggman and Dr. Robotnik, as an attempt to minimize copyright material in-game.
  • Despite Impossible Fire Breath existing during early testing phases for Hardcore Mode (at the time, in development of Version 1.38 in the testing servers), it never officially appeared in the main game, as with the release of Hardcore Mode in Version 39, Fire Breath, along with all its variants, was removed.
  • The flamethrower and missile explosions used to be an instant-kill attack.
  • During the April Fools 2017 event, Hyper Fire Breath's machine would launch a lot of missiles at once, but none of them hit the floor, as the round duration lasted long enough to let them stay in the air.
  • During the April Fools 2018 event, the disaster announcement splash was renamed to “flame breather“.
